We received a call from a kind man who found her at the landfill — lying motionless, gasping for air, trying to stand despite unbearable pain. When we reached her, Bella’s small body was trembling… her leg torn, cold, and horribly swollen. And yet… she was still alive. Still trying. She had been hit hard — most likely while searching for food or a safe place for her little ones. But even in that agony… Bella was desperately curling herself around her puppies, shielding them as if her own pain didn’t matter. 😥

Now she lies in the clinic. Quiet. Exhausted. Hooked up to fluids. Her fever is dangerously high, and her fragile body is struggling to fight back. Her puppies are safe — old enough to eat on their own — but they still need their mom. The vet told us: If we don’t act quickly, we may lose her.
